Description
The Polymaker PolyBox ™ is a filament storage box that allows you to store and print your materials in an optimal environment.
PolyBox has a thermo-hygrometer to monitor the filaments in the box. The humidity is regulated by large desiccant bags.
The PolyBox is designed for hygroscopic materials such as PolySmooth (PVB), PVA or nylon.
The PolyBox can hold two 1kg spools or one 3kg spool and is compatible with 1.75mm and 2.85mm filament. The spools are placed on bearings and the filament is fed through one of the 6 exit holes. This means that the PolyBox is compatible with almost any printer setup.
Features:
- 6 filament guide holes (with rubber stoppers)
- 150cm filament guide tube
- 2x 1kg spool or 1x 3kg spool from Polymaker
- Built-in thermo-hygrometer

Disappointing
Rated with 1 out of 5 stars.
Should have checked the product more first, but I expected this to have a heating element given every other one on the market does. The seal is also not great, at all. It feels cheap, but the price doesn't reflect that. The acrylic case is going to get scratched up very quick. The PTFE tube it comes with is very distorted and bent out of shape due to the way they wrapped it. Not to mention, the tube doesn't even stay in the holes. The whole product feels very sub-par for Polymaker.

absolute garbage
Rated with 1 out of 5 stars.
I orderded two of these polyboxes. The box is made very flimsy and when you want to close it you have to be careful not to push the whole thing in as those nodges it rests on are very small. Then then both of the hygrometers do not work. They do nothing at all. Then i found out these boxes are not very airtight at all. Meaning: you fill it with moist attracting bags. It will accumulate moist. Inside of the box. Result: congratulations, you now have more moist IN the box compared to the situation out of the box within weeks. The opposite of what you wanted.

Alright
Rated with 3 out of 5 stars.
The box is useful for keeping the filament dry. But for the build quality its quite expensive. Only reason I got these is because they're one of the few that will fit a 3kg spool. Had a slight hope they would fit a 5kg spool too but they don't. missed opportunity as it only had to be a tiny bit larger.
It has no active heating so if your filament is already moist this box will not really dry it. But otherwise it works good enough. Was this rating helpful? (0) (1)

This is definitely a solution for anyone short on time and needing a dry box for their filament. However, there are some serious design flaws which make the box difficult to use. I found that when using the horizontal feeder hole for my filament that the box shifted and the lid was often pulled open. This could be easily solved with a latch, but after paying £60+ you shouldn't have to be making product upgrades.
My advice to anyone looking to buy one of these is to make one yourself following the numerous Youtube tutorials, as you will end up upgrading the polybox anyway. Was this rating helpful? (18) (0)

Great storage and spool holder.
Rated with 5 out of 5 stars.
I was a bit skeptical about the PolyBox but after using one for over 3 years i can honestly say it is a great piece of kit. Keeps the filament dry (10%) for many months and is a super spool holder with room for two spools and several usefully positioned filament outlets.
