Description
The High Flow ObXidian™ HotEnd is the result of a collaboration between E3D and Bambu Lab to provide a more compact, lighter and, above all, more powerful hotend solution for Bambu Lab's X1 and P1 series 3D printers.
► Compatible with Bambu Lab X1, X1 Carbon, X1E, P1S and P1P.
High-flow technology for high flow
Thanks to an internal nozzle modification, the hotend volumetric flow has been increased by 60% to provide more consistent extrusion at high speeds.
Tip: To fully utilise the performance of the motion system, the volumetric flow limit in the slicer can be increased.
Nozzle with E3DLC™ coating
The nozzle and heating element have a special E3DLC™ coating developed by E3D, which gives the nozzles non-stick properties and guarantees greater abrasion resistance when printing with fibre-filled materials. The innovative coating effectively minimises the accumulation of filament residue around the nozzle, ensuring its longer service life.
Other features:
- Designed for temperatures of up to 300 °C,
- Cold pull is possible, but due to the internal design of the nozzle it is more difficult to move,
- No change to the PID settings is necessary,
- The hotend and all its parts have the same form factor as the Bambu Lab 3D printers.
Included:
- 1 x Bambu Lab High Flow ObXidian™ HotEnd
- 1 x Thermal Paste
- 1 x Bambu Lab Silicone Sock
- 1 x Bambu Lab retaining spring for the heater
- 2 x Bambu Lab Screws

If you are going after the maximum flow, this could work for you.
But it for sure doesn't work for me. It strings more, requires higher flushing volumes when switching colours and if you print any type of CF - just don't. Not only is it impossible to cold pull (you'll get some sort of cold pull, but you won't get everything out), but it also retains remnant of whatever CF material you put in it. I think that's because of the channel split where you simply won't push everything out when flushing (the filament has other ways to go if one of the channel clogs or has filament remnants in it). At the moment, mine is simply unusable for printing PLA, because it just doesn't work right anymore because of a partial clog, and there's nothing I can do to fix it but hope it gets dislodged somehow over time... It still pushes material, but there are black smudges on surfaces and it behaves like my PA tuning was completely wrong - but it isn't.
